I originally took this photo in Italy when I was there for a photo etching artist residency. 
Valdottavo is a small town not far from Lucca, the beautiful walled city. 

Palm trees, the sea, sand, and sun.

The smell of sweet flowers in the air. 

Magic below the sea, glory above.

Over the years I have traveled to Kauai, HI a few times and always take photos of the palm trees to remind me of the beauty and my relaxed sense of time. I have transformed my photos into cyanotypes to share with you.
